The book is called The Victory of Reason: How Christianity Led to Freedom, Capitalism, and Western Success by Rodney Stark, who is not a Christian believer. In fact, Stark set out to refute German sociologist Max Weber’s famous thesis that attributed the rise of capitalism to the Reformation.

Instead of refuting it, however, he wound up doing just the opposite, writing about how Christianity’s emphasis on reason led to the rise of Europe.

French Government Report Says No to same-sex “Marriage”

PARIS (LifeSiteNews.com) --- A government commission set up at the request of the President of the French National Assembly has concluded that homosexual ‘marriage’ and adoption by homosexual couples, and medically assisted procreation for homosexual couples should not be permitted by law. The decisive factor to the report’s conclusions, after an investigation of more than a year, was the commission’s decision to act “to affirm and protect children’s rights and the primacy of those rights over adults’ aspirations.”

The Scientific Controversy Over the Cambrian Explosion

Since the abruptness and extensiveness of the Cambrian explosion are so well documented, there is no excuse for a biology textbook to deal with the animal fossil record without even mentioning it. Furthermore, since some biologists maintain that the Cambrian explosion presents a challenge -- or at least a "paradox" -- for one of the fundamental tenets of Darwin's theory, any biology textbook that doesn't discuss that challenge fails to provide students with the resources to think critically about the most widely taught scientific explanation for evolution.
